Meet Master Chef Hiroshi Tanaka

With over 20 years of experience in the art of sushi-making, Chef Hiroshi Tanaka brings an unparalleled level of expertise and passion to Sakura Sushi. Born and raised in Tokyo, Chef Tanaka began his culinary journey at the age of 16 as an apprentice at the renowned Tsukiji Fish Market.

After completing his traditional seven-year apprenticeship under Master Chef Yamamoto at the prestigious Ginza Sushi-ko, Chef Tanaka spent several years perfecting his craft at various acclaimed establishments throughout Japan. His dedication to the ancient art of Edomae sushi preparation has earned him recognition from culinary institutions worldwide.

Chef Tanaka's philosophy centers on the belief that sushi is not just food, but a form of artistic expression. Each piece is carefully crafted with precision, respect for the ingredients, and an understanding of the delicate balance between rice, fish, and seasoning that defines exceptional sushi.
